Trap, Neuter, Vaccinate, Return (TNVR) is the only humane and effective approach to stray/feral cats. One female cat can have HUNDREDS of kittens in her life! Cats are pregnant for 8 weeks then can get pregnant again while still nursing their kittens!
Studies show that TNVR effectively reduces the stray cat population. Spaying/neutering these feral cats is ending the breeding cycle so no new kittens are born to a cat colony. TNVR reduces shelter intake, euthanizing and reduces calls to animal control, all of which save cats’ lives and taxpayer dollars.

I do not work for the shelter or state. I charge $10-30 per cat, the price depends on how far from me you are and how many cats there are. The goal is to help cats so this is definitely negotiable! If I could afford to TNR every cat in the county on my own, I absolutely would!
Trapping cats is VERY time consuming! I will likely be going to your property 5 days a week for 2-3 weeks and there will probably be days I go without trapping a cat. While I'm trapping, do NOT feed the cats. They won't go in the traps if they aren't hungry! If I go one morning and see the cats are being fed, I will have to move on to the next location.
Each time I trap a cat, I'll take it to Burlington Animal Services for their Mighty Mouser program. This program allows people to bring in stray/feral cats to be neutered & vaccinated. They charge $10 for every pair of cats and the 10th is free. They will keep the cats for a 3 day stray hold. On the last day I'll pick the cats up and bring them back to you spayed/neutered & vaccinated.
If you'd prefer to trap the cats and take them to BAS yourself I can let you borrow a trap. I'll show you how to use it and you can text or call me any time you have questions!
