This page is still "under construction".

Cerebellar Hypoplasia, referred to as CH or Wobbly Cat Syndrome is a neurological disorder caused by the cerebellum not developing properly. This usually happens when the mother is infected with Panleukopenia during pregnancy but can also be caused by a pregnant cat being vaccinated.

The cerebellum is the part of the brain that controls fine motor skills, balance and coordination. The condition is not painful, contagious or progressive and cats who have it live just as long as any other cat. They may need a little extra care, depending on the severity of their disorder but they're the happiest and most loving pets so its 100% worth it!

Things I use for my wobbly cats

Low water/food bowls

These are good for cats who lay down to eat because they don't slide around or fall over and they're soft so your baby won't chip their teeth!

Raised water/food bowls

These are good for cats who stand to eat because the sides are low so a cat who has tremors won't bump their head.

Cat caves

These are a great alternative to towers because they're low to the ground in case your baby falls and its something they can climb on or nap in.

Body pillows

I love these because you can bend them anyway you need to help prevent your cat from falling off furniture or down between your mattress and headboard.

Puppy pads

You can find these at Walmart, Dollar general, etc but the best deal I've found are these..

CH Cats in Saxapahaw

Chomper was born 4/4/2024 and I got him on 5/31. Sweet baby is moderate CH and blind so he was declared unadoptable and was going to be euthanized so I jumped at the opportunity to get him. Chomper got his name because he's VERY playful and bites very dramatically, he throws his head back then chomps down. He does the same thing when he's eating. 🤣

Timber is moderate CH and very independent! I adopted her on April 6, 2024 and she's 3 years old. She had a wonderful, loving family but sadly they had to make the decision to find her another home. Timber is a diva! She has HER pillow & HER kitty tower and nobody else is allowed to touch! She loves being held, Timber would let you snuggle her for hours.

Alex came to me when he was almost 5 years old and I immediately loved him! Any time I picked him up he hugged me and nuzzled his face up to mine. Sadly I only had Alex for a year before he passed of cancer. I really miss his hugs.

Marty was the purest soul that has ever existed! There wasn't a mean bone in his body and even though he was moderate-severe CH he never got discouraged. That sweet boy could barely walk but when I came home he darted to the front door. Marty was all love. I'll always miss him.

When Marty passed it completely broke my heart. He was fine one day and gone the next. The vet said it was something neuro
